Volvo refreshes its S90 / V90 lineup
Following the reveal of the Volvo XC90 facelift last year, the company has introduced its new S90 sedan/saloon and V90 estate/wagon. The changes aren’t numerous, but they are there.
In terms of visual aesthetics, both models have received redesigned front bumpers, new colors and new wheels. The V90 and Cross Country also boast updated brake lights now.
Inside, additions include Bowers & Wilkins audio and an air cleansing system based on a particulate matter sensor (previously only available in China). Many trim levels now offer wireless charging, and there are a couple new trims available (vegans may opt for a high-end trim without natural leather).
On the technical side of things, the main novelty comes in the form of a mild hybrid system. The previously available engines now benefit from a 48V starter/generator, a battery and regenerative braking. Volvo claims this reduces fuel consumption and emissions by 15%.
