1,900-HP Pininfarina Battista EV debuts in new Anniversario Edition

Automobili Pininfarina might still be a budding carmaker, but its parent coachbuilder – Pininfarina SpA – has recently celebrated its 90th birthday. The duo decided to celebrate together by announcing a special version of their only production car to date – the all-electric hyper-coupe Battista.

The new Pininfarina Battista Anniversario boasts a tricolor livery made up from white, grey and the brand color blue. Painting one body like this involves weeks of painstaking handiwork and three complete assembly/disassembly cycles.

The newcomer has the Furiosa package already installed, while the regular Battista only gets it as a paid option. The kit includes a number of dual-tone aerodynamic parts for additional downforce, such as the front splitter, the side blades, and the rear diffuser. New forged wheels reduce the unsprung weight by nearly 10 kilograms (22 lbs), and the rear axle now boasts larger 21-inch wheel duo instead of the standard 20-inch one.

Moving on into the cabin, there are special seats wrapped in black leather and Alcantara, a chassis number plaque, ‘Pininfarina 90’ badges, and ‘Anniversario’ captions.

The powertrain stays stock, but this hardly an issue for the 1,900-HP (1,417-kW) electric hypercar. Its quad engines churn out up to 2,300 Nm (1,700 lb-ft) of torque and take the coupe from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under two seconds. The EV tears through the 300 km/h (186 mph) mark in just 12 seconds and doesn’t stop accelerating until 350 km/h (217 mph). Its 120-kWh battery grants it a solid driving range of 500 km (310 miles).

The Pininfarina Battista Anniversario comes out in a batch of five vehicles priced at €2,600,000 apiece – a €600,000 premium over the main Battista line of 150 cars. The first shipment is expected later this year.
