Skoda Britain turns a Kodiaq into a police dog kennel on wheels

The British subdivision of Skoda has unveiled a special build of its Kodiaq SUV meant for police dog handlers.

The main difference lies in the rear half of the vehicle, which has essentially been turned into a mobile kennel. The company claims that it conforms to the active state regulations on the prevention of cruelty to animals. To that end, it features a temperature sensor and an emergency evacuation hatch.

The Kodiaq dog van also sports 360-degree emergency lights and blinkers, an always-on engine mode, and a special paint scheme with blue and yellow stripes running down the sides.

This Kodiaq spec can be obtained with FWD and AWD, as well as a number of gasoline and diesel engines ranging between 148 and 238 hp (110 – 177 kW).
