Leaked: Toyota GT86 successor coming up in 2021 & more

The person who made this photo claims it accurately represents Toyota’s current roadmap, complete with approximate launch dates. There is no way to confirm it at this time.

The diagram sets launch timeframes for the successor of the legendary Toyota GT86 (shown on the video), three off-roaders – Tundra, Sequoia and 4Runner, the Sienna MPV and another, still unannounced SUV.

Specifically, the new GT86 will change its name to GR86 and will debut next summer. Co-designed with Subaru, it will come with the drive fixed on the rear axle and a turbocharged engine rated at 259 hp (193 kW).

The Tundra pickup is scheduled for a refresh in late 2021. The new generation will drop the 5.7-liter naturally aspirated V8 in favor of a more efficient twin-turbo V6 hybrid.

The Sienna MPV and the unnamed SUV will also debut as all-hybrid models, with the new Sequoia and 4Runner joining the lineup in 2022.
