Mansory suddenly switches to tuning Canadian ATVs

German tuner Mansory enjoys worldwide reputation as a designer of aerodynamic kits and power upgrades for luxury cars. That’s why seeing it tackle a CanAm Maverick is unusual, to say the least.

In its 2020 Mansory Xerocole guise, the Canadian quad bike gains carbon body panels instead of metallic ones, shedding quite a bit of weight in the process. The cabin follows suit, with everything not strictly necessary for off-road racing getting thrown out of the window. The latter bit is metaphorical, because the ATV has no glass dome and is therefore mainly suitable for good weather.

Powering the 2020 Mansory Xerocole is a 0.9-liter, turbocharged three-cylinder engine by Rotax, which the tuner dials up to 225 hp (168 kW). Considering that the quad itself weighs in under 800 kilograms (1,750 lbs), this results in an impressive supercar-like power-to-weight ratio.

Understandably enough, the asking price is on par with the rest. The donor in its highest X3 RC Turbo RR spec costs around €34,000 in Europe, and those willing to grab the Mansory version are looking forward to adding approximately €20,000 on top of that.
