Tesla updates its Model S & Model X for better acceleration times

The latest update concerns all Model S and Model X owners who opted for both Performance and Raven packages, the latter introducing a new front-mounted Model 3 engine and enhanced air ride suspension.

Once upgraded, the Model S liftback speeds 0-60 mph (0-97 km/h) in 2.3 seconds (previously 2.4 s). The Model X SUV also shaves one-tenth of a second off its launch time, ending up with 2.6 s (previously 2.7 s). Both cars also become more tolerant to abrupt starts.

In the United States, the Tesla Model S Performance with its theoretical 805 hp (600 kW) and 1,373 Nm (1,013 lb-ft) of torque starts from $94,490. The Model X Performance starts from $99,690.
