CarWOW puts three seriously hot SUVs up against each other

The dedicated team of CarWOW has released another entertaining video where it tests an Alfa Romeo, a Porsche and an Audi on a drag strip, with the mandatory brake efficiency test in the end.

The Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio is the most expensive and powerful SUV of the three, packing a 2.9-liter turbo-six mill churning out 510 hp (380 kW) and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque. It weighs in at 1,830 kg (4,035 lbs) and comes with a £69,500 price tag attached in Great Britain. Unlike the German duo, the Stelvio has no launch control mode.

The Porsche Macan Turbo boasts the same engine displacement volume and cylinder count, but manages only 440 hp (328 kW) and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. It is approximately 200 kg (440 lbs) heavier than the Stelvio and priced just £1,000 under it.

The newest Audi RS Q3 Sportback breaks the mold with its comparatively affordable £51,600 and is the lightest of the three at 1,700 kg (3,750 lbs). However, its turbocharged V5 2.5l only produces 400 hp (298 kW) and 480 Nm (356 lb-ft) of torque at most.

As you can see, the trio raced each other pretty consistently throughout the entire quarter-mile distance, so a photo finish was called upon to determine the winner. The brake test, on the other hand, crowned a clear winner.
