Check out the Audi RS Q8 exhaust sound w/o particle filter

The Audi RS Q8 has everything going for it, including royal dimensions, gorgeous looks, and the sheer engine power. What it decidedly lacks is an exhaust tune to match all that grandeur, and the reason is the GPF filter mandatory in the EU countries.

Would it sound much different if one were to remove the filter? Yes, definitely, as this video by YouTube user Auditography shows. Apparently, using gasoline particulate filters (GPF/OPF) is not enforced in Qatar, not even for twin-turbo’d V8 monster engines with four liters of displacement. Ethical aspect aside, we admit that the RS Q8 emits a much better and more profound sound with the filter taken out, even though the exhaust system stays stock.
