Video: Aventador SVJ vs. 840hp BMW F90 M5

The latest F90 generation of the BMW M5 is a true gem for everyone interested in tuning, as it only needs moderate modding to get to supercar-like levels of performance. This time around, tuners have pitted it up against a Lamborghini Aventador SVJ.

The M5 received a boost to 840 horsepower (626 kilowatts) and approximately 1,000 Newton-meters (738 pound-feet) of torque. The familiar eight-speed automatic transmission still sends the momentum to all four wheels.

The Lambo approached the start line with its stock 6.5-liter V12 rated at 760 hp (560 kW) and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque. Its AWD system and single-clutch ISR transmission were also unmodded. Note that the SVJ weighs in at 50 kg (110 lbs) under the regular Aventador, giving it an edge during initial acceleration.
