BMW unveils the new 5 & 6 Series

Following a string of spy photos and teasers, the Bavarian carmaker has finally taken the wraps off two of its major novelties, the 5 Series sedan/wagon and the 6 Series liftback.

Both now ship with LED Matrix headlights as part of the default equipment, and you can opt for Laserlight high beams. Standard features also include a large radiator grille, updates steering wheel and HVAC, displays available in sizes up to 12.3 inches across, new color schemes, and wheels up to 20 inches in diameter.

As far as driver aids are concerned, lane control and collision prevention have been added to the list and the governing OS updated to the latest version. As usual, the M Sport package is there for anyone willing to spice things up with a pinch of motorsports aesthetics.

The BMW 5 Series sedan and wagon, as well as the 6 Series GT liftback, will hit production in the coming summer.
