Nissan briefly flashes its newest Z Series sports car

Nissan’s roadmap for the next three years involves launching as many as twelve new car models, and the successor to the iconic 370Z is among them.

The car will be styled similarly to the famous Nissan S30 (also known as Datsun 240Z), which dates back to the 1970s. It will receive a three-liter, dual-turbo V6 rated at 400 hp (300 kW), and customers will get to choose between manual and nine-speed automatic.

The car featured in the short teaser video is likely to be called 400Z, and it looks pretty close to the Infiniti Q60 in terms of tech. As such, it may be based on the FM chassis with its dual-wishbone suspension at the front end and a multi-link design at the rear. All-wheel drive will likely be only available in the Nismo top spec (470 hp / 350 kW, 600 Nm / 443 lb-ft).
