Godzilla comes to Europe: AutoTopNL takes a 1,400-hp Nissan GT-R to a speedway

The latest YouTube video by AutoTopNL shows the Netherlandish team test-drive a custom Nissan GT-R on a German autobahn. The Japanese exotic supercar packs 1,400 hp (1,044 kW) under the hood, so things go wild pretty soon.

Total Car Concept was responsible for the build, giving the Godzilla huge dual turbos, a brand-new exhaust system, an intercooler and an ECU upgrade. Apparently, pouring in ethanol instead of gasoline would have raised the power output to around 1,600 hp (1,193 kW), but would likely have necessitated serious stability-oriented transmission mods.

On the outside, the coupe sports a Nismo aerodynamic kit made of carbon fiber, an APR rear wing and OZ Racing Ultraleggera alloys wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport rubber. The cabin stays nearly stock.

The Godzilla surely did meet the expectations of the AutoTopNL team, as it zapped from 100 to 200 km/h (62 – 124 mph) in mere 3.5 seconds and ultimately broke through 340 km/h (211 mph).
