Project Kahn takes its first swing at the new Defender

Afzal Kahn is famous for his Land Rover tuning and styling projects, so when Project Kahn and Chelsea Truck Company united efforts to bring out their first tuning kit for the next Defender, we were naturally excited.

Now that the kit is finally out, the changes frankly look a bit underwhelming. The Land Rover Defender 110 Chelsea Truck Launch Edition depicted here boasts a black body kit, tinted windows and 22-inch wheels. The companies also accept custom interior makeover orders and offer high quality perforated and quilted leather trims in a variety of colors.

The Chelsea Truck Launch Edition costs £69,999 in the United Kingdom. The standard Defender 110 AWD armed with a 200hp (150kW) turbo diesel engine starts from £45,600 there.

While the mods are undoubtedly pretty nice, Afzal Kahn does have much more radical projects in his portfolio, notably including a six-wheel pickup truck shown in the video here. On a brighter note, the tuners say there will be more options coming for the new Defender in the future.
