Toyota Supra Mk4 does a quarter mile in 6.9s, breaking the world record

U.S.-based tuner Grannas Racing has recently posted a video featuring a fourth-gen Toyota Supra with stick shift and 2,000 hp (1,492 kW) under the hood tearing through the drag strip in less than seven seconds. Watch it now, it’s worth it!

The Supra, which goes by the nickname “Orange Man Bad”, comes powered by its iconic 2JZ-GTE six-banger, has had its entire drivetrain upgraded for top-notch performance. Plenty of expensive custom components and high transmission efficiency enable it to deliver at least 1,800 hp (1,342 kW) to the wheels.

You may remember that the Orange Man Bad tried to set the record last year, but never did, even though it still flew over the strip in 7.17 seconds. This time around, though, it managed in 6.9 seconds and hit 194.77 mph (around 313 km/h) by the time it reached the finish line, setting a new world record.
