Video: BMW puts the new M5 CS through Green Hell

Following a bunch of spy photos depicting the hottest CS spec of the recently revealed BMW M5, the car has made it on video.

The tests took place at the Nürburgring, and both the front and the rear end of the luxury sports sedan were cladded from prying eyes, implying redesigned bumpers. Aside from that, we expect the new CS to feature stiffer suspension, lightweight CFRP roof, ceramic brakes as part of the standard equipment, special wheels and exclusive finish options.

The 4.4-liter V8 will receive a boost to approximately 650 horsepower (485 kilowatts) and 800 Newton-meters (590 pound-feet). Steering, dynamic stability control and rear differential will likely all receive improvements, too.

The BMW M5 CS should launch later this year, but the dates, pricing and production quantity remain unannounced.
