2021 Volkswagen Tiguan sheds camo, reveals cabin

The facelifted Volkswagen Tiguan has been recently discovered in a parking area without a trace of disguise on it. Let’s use this opportunity to see how much it has changed.

Up front, the bumper reminds us of the R-Line version, the headlights are typical Golf Mk8, and the radiator grille gets wider towards the bottom. The rear bumper and apron with its fake exhaust tips are also new.

Inside, the infotainment system and HVAC get major updates, while the steering wheel obviously stems from the Golf 8.

Volkswagen said earlier that the new Tiguan would take advantage of a revised engine palette and gain a PHEV version. The “R” performance spec remains unconfirmed at this time, but if it does ship, we expect it to do so with a 2.0-liter turbo-four mill rated at 315 hp (235 kW) or close to that.
