Hennessey updates its Lincoln Navigator HPE600 to 2020 spec

Texas-based performance tuner Hennessey has released the 2020 update to its Lincoln Navigator HPE600 package released for the luxobarge two years ago.

The majority of these updates are purely cosmetic and frankly inconsequential. The mammoth of an SUV still relies on the Ford EcoBoost 3.5L V6 to propel it forward, even though its output now amounts to 600 hp (447 kW) instead of the stock 455 hp (339 kW). A ten-speed automatic gearbox delivers the torque to the wheels, taking the car to 97 km/h (60 mph) in 4.8 seconds (stock: 6.1 s).

New turbochargers and air intake system give the Navigator a slight edge on the drag strip, enabling it to cover the quarter-mile distance in 12.9 seconds and hit 172 km/h (107 mph) in the process.

Those willing to customize their Lincoln on the outside will basically be better served in another parts shop, but Hennessey also has a few bells and whistles on offer. These include 22-inch forged rims, Brembo brakes with flashy red calipers, and assorted decals for the body and cabin. The kit costs $19,950.
