Meet Lamborghini Essenza SCV12, a track-only hypercar
Lamborghini has torn the wraps off of Essenza SCV12, its most powerful production vehicle on the lineup. The dedicated racecar will hit the market in a batch of mere 40 units.
Based on the Aventador SVJ chassis and tech, the SCV12 comes powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 rated above 830 PS (820 hp, or 610 kW). Its power-to-weight ratio therefore exceeds 1.66 hp/kg. An Xtrac six-speed sequential transmission delivers the momentum to the wheels cast from magnesium alloy and wrapped in Pirelli slick tires. The two-piece rear wing generates 1,200 kg (2,645 lbs) of downforce at 250 km/h (155 mph).
A carbon-fiber Y-shaped element in the cabin connects the center tunnel and the front panel. The seat frames are also made of the same material.
Future hypercar owners will additionally gain access to a hangar parking space in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy, complete with a garage box and 24/7 surveillance cameras.
