Ocean’s Three: Fisker expands its EV range

Fisker Inc. has revealed its new arrivals roadmap for the next five years. Aside from the Ocean e-SUV scheduled to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2022, the company intends to launch another crossover, as well as a sedan and a pickup truck in 2023–25. You can see Ocean’s Three standing next to it on the announcement pic.

The red saloon with unusually designed doors is the EMotion Concept revealed in 2017. Pre-orders for the $130,000+ luxury electric vehicle started in summer that year, but due to Fisker Inc. lacking its own production capacities the launch has been postponed multiple times. It looks like the company is trying to convince us the EMotion still has a chance to be released.

The sporty-looking crossover SUV had never been mentioned before. Its unusual outlines suggest that it might be a standalone model, rather than just a coupe-shaped variant of the Ocean. Judging by a teaser pic revealed earlier, this one will be called “Alaska”.

Customers have left 7,062 prepaid orders for the Ocean SUV, and 30,277 people have expressed interest in it overall.

Fisker Inc. has recently revealed that its battery-powered Ocean comes based on the Volkswagen MEB technical platform and borrows its drivetrain and equipment from major automotive corporations. No specific names were given, but Henrik Fisker said he would reveal those later when a production site is finally agreed upon.
