New Hongqi H9+ has long wheelbase, but you won’t be able to buy it

Hongqi’s upcoming flagship saloon – the H9, which can see in the video – will also be receiving a long-wheelbase version called H9+. The company will display both versions of the limo at the Beijing Auto Show starting on September 26; in the meantime, you may as well have a look at the spy shots.

The dimensions of neither car are available, but local media cite leaked dimensions as follows: L: 5,137 mm (H9), WB: 3,060 mm (H9), L: 5,337 mm (H9+), WB: 3,360 mm (H9+). The elongated version features two captain’s seats at the rear row just like the normal H9, but with more legroom.

The new limo comes powered by a 3.0-liter V6 allegedly rated at 283 hp (211 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. A seven-speed DCT delivers the momentum to the wheels, and you can choose between RWD and AWD.

Aside from its dimensions, the H9+ will sport several other distinguishing features. This includes a special bi-color paintjob (Bordeaux red plus ivory), as well as 20-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires sized 245/40 R20.

Last but not least, it is reported that the Hongqi H9+ will be available via special orders only.
