Jeep Gladiator Farout Concept heralds the coming of EcoDiesel V6 3.0

Jeep has unveiled a design study called Gladiator Farout. The campervan essentially serves as a way to introduce the audience to a new engine the company will start offering in the Gladiator Rubicon, Overland and Sport trims later this year.

The mill is a three-liter, V-six EcoDiesel unit capable of producing 264 hp (197 kW) and up to 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.

The show car boasts a large five-meter tent packed in the roof box that can comfortably accommodate up to four people, according to Jeep. The interior of the car has everything necessary for cooking and a neat area for dining. Finishing materials such as flannel, leather and wood cater for comfort, while soft ambient lighting ensures relaxation.

Further features of the prototype demonstrated here include a lift kit, a new front bumper with a winch, 17-inch wheels, and Fox suspension struts.
