Jaguar reminisces about the past with the E-type 60 Edition

The legendary Jaguar E-type sports car will be celebrating its 60th birthday in March 2021. To celebrate, Yorkshire-based Jaguar Classic Works will be releasing 12 restored E-types united under the “60 Edition” banner.

The production run will include six coupes painted Opalescent Gunmetal Grey and six roadsters finished in Drop Everything Green. All twelve will retain their classic 3.8-liter engines and other features in strict accordance with the documentation.

Interested collectors will only be able to buy these in pairs (coupe plus roadster). Prices aren’t being discussed yet, but JLR Classic Works is ready to consider your proposal.

Three years ago, the British sports car maker released E-type Reborn, a series of ten cars restored and repaired with the emphasis on preserving the highest original parts count possible. Each went for £285,000 or more.
