Lexus LX 570 gets a special edition, better sports package

The J200 generation of Lexus LX has been around for 13 long years now, and a successor is finally coming to replace it in 2021. In the meantime, the U.S. spec will soon be getting a slight makeover complete with a revised sports package and a new Inspiration Series trim. Let us focus on the latter.

Only those who opt for the luxury-laden LX 570 eight-seater will gain access to the Inspiration Series option. The cars ship in two colors: Eminent (white) and Onyx (black). Main exterior features include 21-inch wheels, radiator grille and side window bezels, different door handles, roof railings and badges all painted black. Improved LED headlights round off the list.

The interior of the Inspiration Series lures in with fine leather in red and black, designer-made floor mats and a stylish black ceiling. Four-zone HVAC, color heads-up display and a 450W, 19-channel Mark Levinson audio system are included in the main spec.

The trim starts from U.S. $99,310, a moderate premium over the standard LX 570’s $91,580.

In contrast, the Sports package only includes redesigned bumpers, radiator grille and forged 21-inch wheels.

Heading into 2021, the Lexus LX J200 gets a new paint option called Nori Green Pearl, caramel-tinted leather option, and Amazon Alexa for assistant.
