Subaru launch roadmap until 2023 leaks online

Reporters from Autoguide have allegedly got their hands on a diagram detailing the new releases of Subaru planned for 2021–2023. The only bit of evidence is this low-resolution photo, and no official confirmation exists to back it up.

The pic seems to confirm the old and recurring rumors that the Japanese automaker wanted to update its WRX/STI and BRZ models. According to the schedule shown here, the next-gen BRZ should debut next spring. Regarding the engines, it may get either a 220hp (164kW) non-turbo mill or its turbocharged counterpart with 250 hp (186 kW).

The new WRX should follow it in the fall of 2021, and the top STI spec a year after that. Both may end up with the same engine model rated between 300 and 400 hp (225 – 300 kW). Sometime between 2021 and 2022, Subaru will be unveiling a new electric car it is currently developing with assistance from Toyota and other third parties.

The Impreza will only change generations in 2023, simultaneously with the premiere of the next Crosstrek/XV SUV.

The Legacy, Outback and Ascent models will all receive their facelift in spring/summer 2022.

Autoguide points out that the roadmap specifies production start dates, which means that the actual reveals should occur earlier than the dates shown.
