AC Schnitzer tackles the BMW M8 Gran Coupe

German tuner AC Schnitzer has already dealt with BMW 8 Series when it revealed its own rendition of the M850i spec last year. Today, the team tackles the M8 Gran Coupe, and while the changes are much more subtle on the outside, the specs are truly impressive.

The car’s standard 4.4-liter V8 twin-turbo goes up from 600 to 750 horsepower (447 – 559 kilowatts, respectively). Torque simultaneously rises from 700 to 850 Newton-meters (516 – 627 foot-pounds). The Competition spec is also supported but yields the same max values.

The body kit comes in a variety of hard and lightweight materials: the front spoiler is made of thermal plastic, the rear spoilers are polyurethane, and the side skirt extensions are carbon fiber. Rounding things off is a brand-new, purpose-designed exhaust system with tips wrapped in carbon fiber.

Shortened suspension springs drop the ride height by between 25 and 30 mm (1”-1.2”) on the front axle and between 15 and 20 mm (0.6”-0.8”) on the rear one. The wheels are 21-inch forged by default, wrapped in 275/30 R21 tires (front) and 285/30 R21 (rear). You may opt for 20-inch wheels bundled with summer and winter rubber if you would like, though.

The interior benefits from aluminum details such as paddle shifters, pedal pads, and a footrest for the left foot.
