Rumor: Tesla working on a Model 3 facelift

Chinese media have received reports that Tesla was planning to roll out a major update for its entire Model 3 range, redesigning it with new looks and equipment in both U.S. and China versions.

Among other things, it is reported that the new Model 3 will sport new lighting, chrome-free body detailing, as well as a new steering wheel and a different center console. The main changes will occur on the technological side of things, though. The cooling system will allegedly be improved, and the heat pump will trade its current electric heater for a far more efficient design that burns less current. The dual-layer side windows will dampen the outside noise more efficiently, and the trunk lid will gain an automatic lifting mechanism (likely a paid option).

Nothing is being revealed about the possible launch timeframe of the alleged Tesla Model 3 facelift.
