Hennessey rolls out lightweight C8 Corvette wheels

Working on the C8 ‘Vette, the Hennessey Performance team must have been inspired enough to start designing neat individual upgrades for it. This lightweight, aerodynamically shaped forged wheel is the latest item on the list.

The full set weighs in at 10 kg (22 lbs) under the stock one and is marginally wider than it (8.5” front, 11” rear). The front pair still measures 19” across and the rear one a larger 20”. Ten straight spokes finished in Gunmetal Grey constitute the pattern, and the tuner’s “H” badge adorns each hub. Buying a set would set you back $5,995.

Also on offer from Hennessey is a performance exhaust system for the Corvette, which is said to lend it a couple extra dozen of horsepower and Newton-meters of torque. The first 100 exhaust units go discounted for $2,995, and the offer is still valid at the time of writing. The list price after that rises to $3,495.

A full-fledged engine kit is underway as well, but things may take a while before it goes on sale.
