Hyundai i30 N facelift teased on 3D renderings

The regular Hyundai i30 received its 2021MY treatment a few months ago, while the i30 N hot hatch is still preparing for one. The latest pics from the manufacturer reveal new bumpers, grille and headlights, as well as larger exhaust tips and lighter 19-inch wheels.

The update will also introduce the N model to the eight-speed dual-wet-clutch transmission design borrowed from the Veloster N. The latter is already shipping with this gearbox option in South Korea and the United States. The i30 N should become easier to drive and faster to get moving with the new transmission, because the Veloster DCT can sprint 0-100 km/h a half of a second faster than its stick-shift counterpart. The 2.0-liter turbo-four engine will stay unchanged at 250 / 275 hp (186 / 205 kW).

The refreshed Hyundai i30 N will debut later this month, the manufacturer says.
