Ultra-rare 1,000-HP Gallardo Superleggera goes up on sale

This 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo in the Superleggera spec is currently up for grabs in the United States with a slew of aftermarket mods slapped on. The killer feature is in the twin-turbo kit, which squeezes over 1,000 brake horsepower from the stock engine.

The first-gen Lambo got its performance treatment from Underground Racing. The tuner fitted the 5.0-liter V10 with dual turbochargers and the full Stage 3 package, raising the brake horsepower to 1,000+ hp (745+ kW). A six-speed automatic sends the momentum to all four wheels, and there is no need for racing fuel, as ON 93 gasoline does just fine. As for the acceleration performance, the exact numbers aren’t quoted, but we’d imagine this Lambo zapping past some of the hypercars tearing aero kits off of them by the sheer force of momentum.

Other noteworthy upgrades include 19-inch HRE C103 three-piece forged wheels shod in Toyo Proxes T888R, a Gallardo LP570-4 front end and a suspension lift.

The Italian coupe has around 11,000 kilometers (6,800 miles) on the odometer and comes without a publicly available price tag. You could still do your own math, considering that the owner has put around $100,000 into all the upgrades.
