BAC testing aerospace tech on its Mono racer

A recently obtained government grant will enable Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) to test a new niobium-based experimental alloy for efficiency in automotive chassis production. The company will be using its Mono racecar model for the experiments.

Niobium, also known as columbium, is a pliable metal commonly used in jet engines and space rockets. It stands out from the competition thanks to its low weight, high plasticity, and resistance to corrosion. The BAC Mono will soon get a space-frame construction and select chassis components made from niobium alloy; zoom in on the pic to see these components highlighted in orange.

Should the tests prove successful, BAC will be launching mass production of innovative niobium-frame vehicles.
