Fisker Ocean approved for production at Magna Europe

Fisker Inc. has officially secured the right to produce its vehicles on the EV production lines of Magna International Inc. in Europe, In exchange, the automaker grants Magna a 6 percent share in its ownership.

CEO Henrik Fisker praised the merits of the Magna FM29 aluminum car chassis and its versatility in conjunction with the company’s own FF-PAD tech (Fisker-Flexible Platform Adaptive Design). According to him, the combo will be class-leading in terms of driving range, interior space and other crucial parameters. He left without comment the earlier rumors that the company had secured Volkswagen’s MEB platform for the production of its first all-electric SUV, the Ocean.

The Fisker Ocean is slated to hit the market sometime around late 2022 priced starting from U.S. $37,499 or close.
