BMW M4 convertible goes nearly camo-free ahead of premiere

Let’s take a good look at these spy shots of the new M4 Cabrio spotted with barely any disguise on.

It looks like the newcomer shares its front and rear end design with the coupe version almost completely. Among other things, the polarizing huge grille and the front bumper are both present.

The retractable soft top looks no different from that of the regular BMW 4 Series Convertible, which debuted a month ago (see video). The M version should hit the market armed with a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-pot available in 480 PS and 510 PS variants (473 and 503 hp; 353 and 375 kW, respectively). Customers will be able to choose between manual and eight-speed auto for the transmission, as well as between RWD and AWD.

The launch is expected later this year.
