Changan shows the Uni-K SUV in full glory

When it premiered its Uni-T production SUV this spring (see video), China-based carmaker Changan promised us a whole range of Uni-badged vehicles. The second entry debuts today, and it is a full-size crossover SUV called the Uni-K.

The ride is 4,865 mm (15.96 feet) long, 1,948 mm (6.39 ft.) wide and 1,700 mm (5.58 ft.) tall with 2,890 mm (9.48 ft.) between the axles. It features a bezel-free radiator grille, slide-out handles and dual brake lights. The cabin contains two rows of seats, but no pics or other details have been provided yet.

A two-liter turbocharged engine propels the off-roader forward through an Aisin eight-speed auto gearbox and all-wheel drive system.

The company says it will be revealing full specs during the Giangzhou Automotive Exhibition coming up in late November 2020. The Changan Uni-K is slated to hit the mass market in the first quarter of 2021 and become the marque’s most expensive ride priced at the equivalent of U.S. $27,000 and above.
