SARD dresses the 5th-gen Supra into a carbon suit

Despite any criticisms purists may have, the Toyota A90 Supra is here to stay. Aftermarket vendors already have scores of body kit parts on offer for it, but new teams invariably come up with something fresh and original. SARD is the latest example.

The older A80 model was obviously the main source of inspiration – note especially the front clip and the elegant black rear wing. The sides are wider than stock, front brakes benefit from Alcon six-piston calipers, and matte-black wheels 20 inches across fill out the arches. The hood has two active air scoops, which comes in handy if you intend to upgrade the powertrain.

In fact, SARD does just that by installing dual Borg Warner turbochargers and an ECU remap. The result is 500 PS (493 hp / 368 kW) produced by the stock BMW inline-six instead of the usual 340 PS (335 hp / 250 kW). A titanium exhaust system and a sports-grade catalytic converter round things off.

Regrettably enough, we do not know just how fast the tuned Supra is.
