Tokyo Auto Salon goes online for 2021

With most automotive industry events canceled in North America, Asia and Europe, manufacturers move their premieres into the Internet and try to line things up so as not to get their viewers and participants stolen by another big event.

The annual Tokyo Auto Salon is the latest victim to fall to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The organizing party just officially confirmed that the trade fair, which had originally been scheduled for January 15–17, 2021, was canceled.

The tickets will be refunded, and the main premieres will still be held online on the same dates, TAS-2021 crew reports.
