Geely to assist Baidu in EV production

Baidu, nicknamed the Chinese Google, is planning to diversify its business by launching its own electric car production, and the recent agreement signed with Geely reveals who will handle the manufacturing processes.

According to the agreement, the automaker pledges to provide access to the Geely SEA platform (Sustainable Experience Architecture). In turn, Baidu will utilize its DuerOS operating system, Baidu Maps navigation software, Apollo architecture and other proprietary solutions in the project.
