Abarth 595 gets upgrades heading into 2021

Abarth 595, which is a fancier and stronger Fiat 500, now ships with new colors, trim materials, equipment and engine boost options to choose from.
The offer applies to the standard three-door city car and its upmarket trims Turismo, Competizione and Esseesse. The Turismo version gets a power upgrade for its 1.4-liter T-Jet engine, going from 145 PS (143 hp / 107 kW) to 165 PS (163 hp / 121 kW). The torque simultaneously rises from 206 to 230 Nm (152 to 170 lb-ft).
The Competizione and Esseesse benefit even more from their upgrades, gaining an extra 35 PS (35 hp / 26 kW) along with 44 Nm (32 lb-ft). Nearly all specifications support swapping manual transmission out for a DCT.
The aftermarket vendor has also made corrections to the steering column and tweaked the engines of the Competizione and Turismo models to ensure that they have a more prominent performance advantage over the standard spec.
Dependent on the trim level, cars can be obtained with an Alcantara-wrapped dashboard, leather seats, a carbon-fiber gear stick, a new titanium-tipped exhaust system, and original 17-inch wheels. A high-end audio system with a digital amplifier and a subwoofer is also available.
