Subaru Outback Wilderness Edition spied with minimal camo

Subaru is testing the high-riding Wilderness Edition of its Outback wagon, which should go on sale before mid-2021.

Based on the spy shots provided, the car boasts quite a bit of added ground clearance, off-road tires, a different radiator grille and new anti-fog lights. Technical specs remain to be announced, but suspension upgrades will most likely make the list.

The Wilderness Edition should get the same engine choices as the standard Outback wagon (see video). This includes a 2.5-liter non-turbo mill rated at 185 PS (182 hp / 136 kW) and 240 Nm (177 lb-ft) of torque and a 2.4-liter turbo one capable of 264 PS (260 hp / 194 kW) and 375 Nm (277 lb-ft). Both link to a CVT and AWD.
