Video: Singer ACS testing Porsche 911 off-roader

We had already reported about the Singer ACS, an all-terrain vehicle co-designed by Singer Vehicle Design (USA) and Tuthill Porsche (Great Britain). The tuners now took the car out for a round of tests and filmed a video with the results.

The ACS – which stands for All-Terrain Competition Study, by the way – comes based on a Porsche 911.964 drivetrain and has a carbon body. Its chassis has been reinforced and every wheel fitted with dual shocks.

A 3.6-liter flat-six engine benefits from dual turbos and hits the wheels with up to 456 PS (450 hp / 335 kW) along with 570 Nm (420 lb-ft), but you can set a custom limit to comply with specific race regulations. A sequential dogbox sends the momentum to the wheels, and you can shift using a stick or paddle shifters. As for the diff locks, there is one between the axles and two between the wheels.

The experimental vehicle currently exists in two instances: one best suited for desert driving and the other one for roads. Later on, we may see the duo participate in the Dakar Rally or Baja 1000.
