Aston Martin’s $1M+ sedan looking for solvent buyers

This Lagonda Taraf is currently up for grabs in Hertfordshire, England, and you may like to know that ‘Taraf’ is Arabic for ‘opulence’, ‘wealth’, and ‘luxury’.

The car originally debuted at a closed event in Dubai, UAE in 2014. It had originally been intended for Middle East countries only, but ended up exported to other countries as well. Prices started from just under £700,000, which is slightly above $1,000,000 USD. Production took place in Gaydon, Great Britain from 2015 through December 2016. Out of the originally planned 200 units, only 120 rolled off the assembly line (other sources yet claim the number was under sixty total units).

The Taraf comes based on the VH410 platform of the Aston Martin Rapide. It uses a 5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 to hit the rear wheels with 547 PS (539 hp / 402 kW) through an eight-speed ZF automatic.

Seven layers of paint protect the CFP body, and the cabin harbors a multimedia system, a button panel for gear selection, and a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound system. Trimming materials include leather, carbon fiber and exotic wood.

The particular example on sale wears an Onyx Black livery. Its cockpit makes use of black and white leather and occasional ash wood inserts. A champagne fridge is on board along with a couple of displays for the rear seat occupants. The odometer reads 150 km (93 miles).

The price is available upon request.
