Lotus reveals the E-R9 Concept, an EV racer of the future

The British sports car maker has shared its vision of future electric supercars, visualized by lead designer Russell Carr and modelled by Lotus Engineering.

The streamlined track projectile draws upon the Evija tech and comes powered by four independent electric motors. A traction battery with an innovative chemical composition supplies the power.

One of the more interesting features of the design study comes in the form of bodywork that you can reshape and tune as needed, both automatically and manually. The individual body panels can adjust themselves to the current movement speed to ensure optimum airflow distribution.
