Wuling’s affordable Zhengtu pickup goes on sale in China

Wuling has started taking pre-orders for its newest body-on-frame pickup truck, the Zhengtu. Prices start as low as 59,800 Yuan (9,230 USD).

Based on a simple cargo carrier chassis, the truck uses a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine rated at 99 PS (98 hp / 73 kW) and 140 Nm (103 lb-ft) of torque. A five-speed manual transmission drives the rear wheels.

Interior highlights include a classical dashboard with a monochrome on-board display and an 8-inch multimedia panel. An entry-level AC is provided instead of a full-fledged HVAC, which is once again reflected in the price.
