Nissan facelifts the X-Trail in Australia, says ‘What new generation?’

Nissan has an all-new X-Trail SUV to offer on many markets outside of Australia (watch the video for an overview), but the customers Down Under will have to make do with a mildly facelifted old generation.

The 2021 update seems minimal and really only dictated by the need to stay competitive in the compact SUV market. It includes a 7-inch infotainment system touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, an intelligent collision warning system and new 18-inch wheels.

The powertrains are still represented by 2.0- and 2.5-liter petrol engines and a single 2.0-liter diesel turbo. Power ranges from 144 to 177 PS (142 – 175 hp; 106 – 130 kW, respectively). Prices start as low as 28,490 AUD.
