Check out a 1988 Lamborghini Countach priced as a new Aventador

A 33-year-old Lamborghini Countach is currently up for grabs in the United States for nearly $400,000, a price its owner explains by its low mileage and exclusivity.

Specifically, the supercar has 8,438 kilometers (5,243 miles) on the odometer and belongs to a series of only 610 units named 5000 Quattrovalvole. The special edition (see video) features Kevlar body trim and extra carburetor mounted on top of the engine for improved air intake efficiency. The engine is a 5.2-liter naturally aspirated V12 rated at 455 PS (450 hp / 335 kW), and it drives the rear axle through a five-speed manual transmission.

The production of the 5000 QV series had lasted from 1985 through 1988, meaning that the example on sale is one of the more recently produced ones.

The car has a black body juxtaposed against 15-inch wheels finished in gold. An authentic interior design combines beige and dark brown shades. Notable equipment includes an OEM dashboard, an Alpine radio, and a cassette player.

The owner wants to get U.S. $395,900 for his well-kept ride, more than a new Lamborghini Huracan and Urus cost right now. The $421,321 Aventador comes closest to the asking price.
