dÄhler’s tweaked BMW “128tii” combines substance with style

The newest 2021 BMW 128ti sees the comeback of the model suffix ‘ti’, which stands for ‘Turismo Internazionale’. Having said that, international travel enthusiasts should probably check out dÄhler’s improved version first.

The Swiss tuner upgrades the stock 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine with an ECU tune and a stainless steel exhaust system complete with active valves and ceramic-plated finishers. As a result, the power goes up from 270 to 317 PS (265 – 313 hp; 200 – 233 kW) and the maximum torque from 400 to 500 Nm (295 – 370 lb-ft).

To keep things in check, the company proposes height-adjustable suspension springs and new 20×8 Ultralight alloy wheels. An exception can be made for the braking system, which dÄhler claims is more than adequate straight from the factory.

Those who feel like letting everyone around them know they drive a custom car may opt for a badass-looking front splitter, a massive roof wing and a silver pinstripe decal. Interior gimmicks boil down to the usual – new upholstery, aluminum pedal pads and floor mats say it all.
