Drag Race: Rimac Nevera destroys a Ferrari SF90 Stradale

Hardly had Rimac unveiled its Nevera hypercar when a video went viral showing the electric track weapon annihilating a Ferrari SF90 Stradale at a quarter-mile acceleration race.

The newest Croatian EV packs four electric motors joining efforts for 1,914 PS, or 1,888 horsepower, or 1,408 kilowatts. The peak torque amounts to 2,360 Nm, or 1,741 pound-feet. The standard sprint lasts 1.85 seconds, and a quarter of a mile zaps past in 8.6 seconds.

In turn, the Ferrari makes do with a four-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 assisted by multiple electric motors. The resulting output of 1,000 PS (986 hp / 735 kW) and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) falls rather short of that of its rival, but it also weighs a whopping 380 kilograms (838 pounds) less. Both have AWD.

Watch the video to witness the newborn electric monster leave the Ferrari for dead on the drag strip.
