1st Koenigsegg CCR goes on sale for nearly $1M

A 17-year-old Koenigsegg CCR supercar that debuted at the Geneva International Motor Show back in 2004 will go on sale next month with 2,300 kilometers (1,429 miles) under the belt.

The Swedish automaker premiered its third production car at the Geneva show and later produced it in a limited run of 14 units. This particular example was the first to roll off the assembly line and was used as a display car for the next two years. It then went into private hands and used to appear in collections in France, Germany and Luxembourg.

Power comes from a 4.7-liter turbocharged V8 that teams up with a six-speed manual transmission for 807 PS (796 hp / 593 kW) and 920 Nm (680 lb-ft) of torque. It needs 3.2 seconds for the standard launch and maxes out at 395 km/h (245 mph).

The selling price is expected to be in the range between U.S. $877,000 and $926,000.
