Audi reveals new RS 3 pics

The Audi RS 3 has already been sighted by car spotters (see video), and now the company itself shows us the hot sedan and hatchback accompanied by other Audi Sport vehicles.

Both vehicles are still running their pre-production tests, so there is no surprise they still wear a thick layer of camo. Even so, you can see their wider-than-usual fenders, larger wheels, sportier bumpers and impressive exhaust tips.

The 2.5-liter five-pot under the hood stays there. The old-gen RS 3 and the latest RS Q3 and TT RS all have the same power output of 400 PS (394 hp / 294 kW) and the same torque of 480 Nm (356 lb-ft). Still, rumor has it that the next generation will enjoy a boost to 420 PS (414 hp / 309 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft).

The live premiere should take place at the IAA show early this fall – note that the event takes place in Munich instead of Frankfurt this year. An online reveal might precede it, but there are no exact dates.

With the introduction of the new RS 3, the Audi Sport lineup will include 15 high-performance cars if you count all body styles separately.

Audi sold a record 29,300 RS 3 units in 2020, marking a 16% increase over the previous year.
