Don’t be deceived by this 66-year-old, but good-as-new Chevy 3100 restomod

This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 truck looks rusted all over, which is not surprising given its age, but it is actually in top driving condition and up for sale on the Classic Car Studio website.

Aside from all the fake rust, the body sports a thick layer of patina. The dull film covers all chrome parts and conceals the fact that everything has been restored and is now as good as new. Admittedly, the wheels look a bit too fresh with their intact chrome finish and modern hardware.

A glance inside the truck bed lined with natural wood and metal reinforces the impression that something is not right with this particular truck. However, it is the cabin that finally shatters the illusion with its perfect fit and finish. No amount of brown blotches or speckles can convince the viewer that the car is 66 years old, because it is indeed a restomod.

Aside from all-new upholstery, the Chevy 3100 benefits from power steering, a custom steering wheel with adjustable tilt, a Dolphin dashboard, and a Vintage Air conditioner. The gear stick still protrudes from the floor, as in the original pickup.

Power comes from a supercharged V8, but numbers aren’t available. The asking price is also not public.
