1 of 3 Miura SVJ crops up on sale half a century since launch

The iconic Lamborghini Miura is widely considered a distant ancestor of the modern Aventador. The Italian sports car maker built 764 such vehicles in the 1960s and 70s, out of which only three were outfitted to the SVJ spec. This is one of them.

Lambo built a prototype racecar named P400 Jota back in 1970 and shipped it to its buyer in 1971, but he later lost it in a car accident. The ensuing media coverage prompted many Lamborghini clients to contact the company asking for a similar option package for their Miura. Thus 3 SVJ models were made based on the existing SV spec, the most powerful car in its family back at the time.

The example currently on sale boasts a Rosso Granada paintjob, which it had straight from the factory until someone repainted it in silver. Ten years ago, a new owner reverted the car to red and completely restored it, too.

With around 19,500 km (12,100 miles) on the odometer, the car is in excellent condition. Prices are only available to interested buyers.
